PLANS Vs REALITY

by Aimen Saeed 2nd yr

Plans plans and plans…. That’s right.
With every vacation, there comes an individual resolutions’s list:
with dos and donts…. Goals and milestones :p
But at the end, it always turns out to be nothing but “FALOODA” !!
A COLD but TASTY FALOODA because you have loads of fun during vacation:

Here’s what happens;

1. You are so hell HAPPY  thinking about spending your time at home that you meet your friends like:

And during vacation, you pretend like: yeah, i give a damn about missing u guys !!

But when you meet after vacation:

AWW ;)
2. The second most important vacation resolution is: "losing weight" .... yeah you heard me..... you make many plans for exercise, aerobics and dieting and especially in Ramadan when you promise to say NO to  "fried food" but the result is ... well you know .... :D
Plans to join GYM.......

End up crushing your favourite chair !! :p
3. "Yar pura saal nai parha,,,,, bs vacations may anni macha deni hay, theeto ko bhi peechay chor daina hay" -
yup palns to study like a THEETA

But end up SLEEPing like a BASS!! ;)
4. Whats the fun of vacation until and unless you undergo the phenomenon of bistiness by your parents;
Or Amma k jootay ki baat he kch aur hay: jab tak paray na hum insaano ki tarah koi kaam nai krtay      :'D

When parents enter your room

As soon as they leave
5. You plan to study in vacation for the sake of "planing" only, crowding up the walls of your room with sticky notesand time tables and schedules, but you do know yourself that at the end you'll be  going back to university with a face and mind "BLANKER" then ever:
Your reaction  when your parents ask about covering up your Syllabus :p

Your reaction when your friends ask :
"KITNA KR LYA HAY?"

Your reaction  to every study related question asked by the teacher after vacation

6. Meeting your siblings after a long time :
The LOVE:

And just after a minute: :')

7. This is how you think you'll achieve your "vacation-goals":
yup smoothly, not even a single breach, you even think you have guts to Ignore the  Ramadan-starvation and focus on studies:
achieving goals like a smoothie !!

But what u focus on is  FOOD !!
(wish there was a free-Food-giving super hero !!)
:'D

And in the end when its time to go back:

And you feel like
"kash kash parh laitay"
And then in PROF season you feel like doing this:
But but but..................
With all the prayers we offer during Ramazan and with all the
Duayain of our friends and family...... especially the "Pyar" we get with Ammi ka JOOTA,,,,,,,,,
We  finally finish up doing awesome at the end of the year !! :D
and
All's well that end's well!!
so..
ALL THE BEST FOR YOUR PLANS AND RESOLUTIONS
and

RAMAZAN MUBARAK !!
Stay blessed :)

1st Year IMPORTANT TOPICS (Anatomy)

By Farkhanda QaiserOkay finally here it is. The all-important guide for the 1st year students. I’ve compiled all the prof and sendup questions of last year as well as the remnants of class tests that I had.But before you go on to read them, keep in mind the following very tested tidbits:For profs, NEVER leave any topic untouched and unread. Go through all topics so that in viva, you have atleast some idea about what the examiner is asking.NEVER lose your sendup question paper because there are high chances that some of the questions will be repeated in profs as you can see in the following example of anatomy question paper and same goes for the MCQs. Most of them are repeated. So here’s what we had done, in our facebook class group, we had made a discussion topic, and everyone told the MCQs of sendups and discussed them. Well, you may think us nerds or whatever but trust me that discussion proved very fruitful for all those who participated in it.I think enough has bin said about orga…

USMLE Step 1 Experience by Ayaz Mehmood (Score : 99/266)
Salam everyone, let me start in the name of Allah who’s the greatest benefactor of all mankind. I am going to write a detailed composition regarding preparation for USMLE Step 1. I am a final year student at King Edward Medical University and I took my exam on June 10th. Final year is the year before internship/ house job in Pakistan. I just got my scores: 99/266

Let me introduce some myths surrounding USMLE Step 1 which are especially prevalent within Pakistan; I am not too sure about India because I heard their students typically appear in their final years.

Myth number 1:Do not appear for USMLE Step 1 within your graduation

 Verdict: Baseless, illogical reasoning

Explanation: This is so prevalent in Pakistan it’s almost pathetic. One of the biggest concerns surrounding our students is that Step 1 is a huge risk to be taken before graduation. Let me put it in another way: Step1 would always remain a risk whenever it is taken, …
