GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS

1- All participants are requested to paste the tags of their names, medium used and the names of their institutions on the back of their entries as well as the bottom right corner of their articles on the front.
2- We will Only entertain the size of the entries as mentioned below:

4- It is necessary for the participants to submit their entries by the Last date of Submission i.e. 20th May, 2015 to Office of the College Artist, Madam Tauseef Anjum, Patiala Block, KEMU.
5- Participants must Register through their college societies or individually by the Last Date of Registration i.e., 18th May, 2015.
6- You can register by sending an email at kaps.anp@hotmail.com by 18th May, 2015. The email must include:
• No. of participant(s)
• Name of participant(s)
• Name of institution
• Contact No. (of all participants)
• No. of Articles (also specify the categories being applied for)
7- We will be pleased, if you drop your entries to the requested place and on the requested date. But for your convenience, we can also arrange for the transportation of your entries.
8- Registration fee for one single article is Rs. 100/- and registration fee for Mehndi competition is Rs. 100/-
9- Registration fee is non-refundable.
10- Registration fee can be paid in cash to Sheheryar Ali ( Phone #: 0300-8146655) or Zamad Gillani ( Phone #: 0307-4845857) or it can be deposited via a cheque drafted in the name of
Moeed Ahmed, Finance Secretary KAPS.

11- The display of the entry will solely be at discretion of the administration of KAPS administration.
12- No entry will be returned during the exhibition, if exhibited.
13- The subject of the entry should be devoid of obscenity.
14- Articles ( Photographs, Paintings, Sculptures,etc) can be collected from the Office of the College Artist from May 27, 2015.
RULES FOR SPECIFIC CATEGORIES
RULES FOR PHOTO-ESSAY
• This includes making a story out of 2 minimum and 5 maximum photographs.
• A participant should write his or her name, institute, title of story at back of photograph.
• Each team will comprise of two persons only.
• The proper way of presenting the pictures is that the pictures can be edited in sequence in one large photograph of minimum 10×12 inches atleast.This should be properly mounted and photographs should be in sequence
• The participant will be required to narrate the story to judges.
• The photographs should be self explanatory and should be properly sequenced.
• The story can be on any topic provided that it should not be offensive in any context.
• Pictures should be photographed by participants themselves .Any unfair means are not allowed .
• The last date of submission is 20th May, 2015.
RULES FOR PHOTOGRAPHY• Submitted photos must be captured by your own self, they should not
contain elements from any other source.
• Photo manipulation is not allowed.
• A photo should only have original elements.
• Photo retouching and HDRs are allowed but photo editing is not allowed.
• Submit printed photos, no soft copy will be entertained.
• Any size of photos is allowed for the competition.
• If needed, we can ask for SOOC file (to rule out plagiarism).
RULES FOR FLORAL/DRY ARRANGEMENT• Only fresh/dry flowers should be used (no artificial flowers)
• The arrangements should reach K.E at 8:00 a.m. on 26th May, 2015.
• The decision of judges will be final and unquestionable.
• Last date of registration is 18th May 2015.
• The maintenance of arrangement is the participants` own
responsibility for we won’t be providing fresh water and stuff for
maintenance of flowers.
RULES FOR SKETCHING• Any size.
• No coloured medium is allowed.
RULES FOR CALLIGRAPHY • Any size.
• Any medium.
• Any language can be used.
RULES OF BAKING/COOKING• One dish per person.
• Any sort of “home-made” sweet/savoury.
• All arrangements for presentation, storage and re-heating should be made by the participants themselves.
• Participants will be solely responsible for their belongings.
RULES FOR SCULPTURES
• Any size
• Any medium (clay, metal, glass, porcelain)
RULES FOR HANDICRAFTS• All types of handicrafts will be accepted.
• In case any or all items by a participant are found to be purchased, the item(s) will be disqualified.
RULES FOR ON-SPOT COMPETITION
1. POSTER-MAKING• 2-3 Topics will be provided. Posters will be made accordingly.
• 80x30 cm sized charts will be provided.
• All other medium to be used are to be brought by the participants themselves.
• All participants must reach the venue in K.E. by 8 am.
• Posters may be donated to West Surgical Ward, Mayo Hospital, Lahore for
their Arts Gallery.
• All participants must complete their posters and submit them within the given time. No extra time will be provided.
2. POT PAINTING• Pots will be brought by the participants themselves.
• Any sized pots can be used.
• Any medium can be used.
• All participants must reach the venue in K.E. by 8 am
• All participants must complete and submit their pots within the given time.
3. T-SHIRT PAINTING• Shirts will be provided.
• All other medium to be used must be brought by the participants.
• Theme should be followed.
• All participants must reach the venue in K.E. by 8 am
• All participants must complete their posters and submit them within the given time. No extra time will be provided.
4. MEHNDI• Registration fee: Rs. 100 per entry (i.e. one side of hand)
• Bring your own model.
• Bring your own mehndi cones.
• Any mehndi can be used.
• All participants must reach the venue in K.E. by 8 am
• All participants must complete their posters and submit them within the given time. No extra time will be provided.

Day 2: Inter-Class Short Video Competition

GENERAL RULES AND GUIDELINES: 
• Duration of the video must be approximately 6-10 minutes. The time limit mentioned above includes all opening and ending credits (time will be taken from the digital length of the film). Please adhere to the above mentioned time limit to avoid disqualification.
• Videos will be screened before the event and the selection of jury and the decisions given by it shall be final and indisputable and the top 20 videos will be played on the final day.
• Any video containing objectionable material i.e. political, religious or any other offensive/racial/provocative/explicit content will be DISQUALIFIED. The authority to screen the videos and disqualify henceforth, rests with Kemcolians’ Arts & Photography Society, and its decision will be final and indisputable.
• Registration fee is non-refundable

Entries may be judged according to the following criteria:
• Theme
• Content
• Creativity
• Script
• Cinematography
• Editing
• Originality
• Camera Work
The above mentioned criterion is meant as a general guideline and is not restrictive, and may be modified at the organizing committee’s discretion.
Duration of videos for Advertisement Category must be from 20 seconds to 1 minute.
SUBMISSIONS

1st Place Movie will receive a Cash Prize of Rs. 5000 with Shield and Certificate

Day 3 :
All-Pakistan Short Video Competition

SUBMISSIONS

All-Pakistan Music Competition
GENERAL RULES AND GUIDELINES:
• ¬The categories include band, solo and vocals.
• A band can have a minimum of two members including at least one instrumentalist.
• The best solo performance will be judged on the basis of vocals and instrument playing by the solo performer.
• If a participant is using karaoke, he/she will be judged for vocals only.
• The time duration is 4-6 minutes. Points will be deducted for violating the rule.
• Only Urdu songs are allowed.
• The participants will bring their own instruments. If your band includes a drummer, contact the mentioned persons.
REGISTRATION
• Registration fee is Rs. 1000 for band and Rs. 500 for solo performances.
• For registration, send your name, band name (if applicable), institute name, contact no. and category to kapsmusicclub@gmail.com.
• Registration will be confirmed after payment of fee.
• Last date for registration is 20-5-15.

RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR PARTICIPANTS ATTENDING THE EVENT:
• Smoking is strictly prohibited in the university campus
• No food items/beverages/drinks are allowed inside the Auditorium
• Photography by any means in prohibited inside the auditorium, if anyone is found using the camera or a cell-phone for the sake of photography, the items would be confiscated.
• Maintenance of decorum of the KEMU is mandatory, anyone found shouting in the auditorium or doing any mischievous act would be immediately thrown outside the auditorium
• Dancing inside the auditorium is strictly prohibited.
• Any damage to the university property on your behalf would be charged from you.
• No weapon of any sort is allowed inside the campus
• Participants should bring their NIC card and University ID card, as well as the passes along with them. Entry without ID card would not be allowed in any case.
