KemUnited - The King Edward Medical University Blog

King Edward Debating Society (KEDS) held its annual event, the 16th All Pakistan Declamation Championship from 28th to 29th April 2015, which was participated in by more than 30 teams. Each team comprised of an English and an Urdu speaker, with one speaking on a serious and the other on a humorous topic.
After heated speeches in the initial rounds on 28 April, the finalists were selected who battled it out on the 29th.

A wise person once said:"if you think shy, you act shy." That wise person couldn't have been more right. For THOUGHTS  are 'the great ancient mysteries' elevating mankind to the throne of creations. Their contemplation is beyond our ability, an enigma we all endeavor to solve. Like the simplest of things that appear so complex, our thoughts take root as docile fabrications of our mind that twist and knot into deep and unfathomable intricacies, wherein lies the ultimate power to control our actions.

Seeing the overwhelming response to my previous blog on clinical electives, I have decided to create a series of blogs pertaining to different aspects of this topic. My first blog was about the list of universities which accept International Students (to read it, go to http://www.kemunited.com/2014/12/electives-in-usa-2014-list.html )


This second blog will be about the application process and the various documents that are required. Also there will be a brief paragraph about how to apply for Step 2 CS because it is prudent to take this exam in the same visit as the electives. 
The Plan: As I mentioned in my earlier blog, you should start applying for electives 8-10 months before the proposed start date of your electives. For most universities, it means that you should ‘post the application’ 8-10 months in advance. As you will see in the following flow chart, ‘post the application’ stage comes way down in the order so it’s best to kick start …
